What Is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

The CDCP is a federally funded dental benefit designed to ease the financial burden of essential oral health care. It offers coverage for a wide range of dental services to Canadians who meet specific eligibility criteria. The plan is being rolled out in phases, with full implementation expected by 2025.

Do You Qualify?

You may be eligible for the CDCP if:

- You do not have access to dental insurance (private, employer, or pension-based)  
- Your adjusted family net income is under $90,000 per year  
- You are a Canadian resident  
- You have filed your taxes for the previous year  

How to Apply

You can apply for the CDCP online through the [Government of Canada website](https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/dental.html) or by phone via Service Canada.

**To apply, you’ll need:**

- A valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)  
- Proof of income (your tax filing must be up to date)  
- Canadian residency details  

Once approved, you’ll receive a benefits card in the mail that allows you to access covered dental services.
