Root Canals

We’re a pretty jovial bunch here at Wallaceburg FamilyDental, but there’s nothing funny about inflamed
or infected teeth. Trauma to your tooth may also cause damage even if the tooth
has no visible chips or cracks. If left untreated, this damage can cause pain and
lead to an abscess.

When our dental
team treats you with a root canal, your inflamed or infected tooth pulp (in the
tooth’s centre) is removed and then it’s gently cleaned and sealed. We will
also apply a special filling for protection, ensuring it functions just like your
other teeth.

A root canal
treatment will give you back your beautiful smile and help you to continue
eating the foods you love. When cared for properly, teeth that have had root
canal treatment should last forever.
